Dr. Adam Joy is a licensed clinical psychologist and the founder, owner, and clinical director of Joy Mental Health Group. He earned his PsyD at Pepperdine University in 2013 after studying psychology at Michigan State, with postdoctoral training at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. His therapy is integrative — ACT, CBT, psychodynamic work, and the humanistic ideas of Viktor Frankl — always adapted to what the person in the room actually needs. Outside the consulting room he is president of Restoring Hope Collective, has served on the Washtenaw board of Face Addiction Now, and advises the Steely Brown Project on reducing stigma so men can reach for care.
